Guidance on Implementing the Standard on Web Accessibility

The GC has taken steps to address Web accessibility since 1998, when a GC Internet Guide that provided information on common resources - tools and tips - on Web accessibility was published. In May 2000, the GC approved its own first set of Web accessibility standards, known as the Common Look and Feel 1.0 or "CLF 1.0". CLF 1.0 required the websites (including Web applications) of all government institutions to comply with the internationally recognized Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG 1.0) by December 2002.
